When data is your only currency, integrity is everything.
Our responsibility to our clients that conduct scientific research is to guarantee that their research tools always run at maximum resolution, optimum performance, and long-term stability for the lifetime of the tool. A baseline electromagnetic field survey of ambient magnetic fields affecting the research area is critical in determining tool placement. Magnetic shielding of microscope rooms may be a necessary step in order to meet tool performance criteria.
Vitatech has developed the most thorough survey and assessment processes in the industry, based on hundreds of diverse challenges we’ve encountered with our many clients around the globe—clients such as MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Columbia, Intel , IBM, and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). Give us a call. We’re happy to serve your organization with the same dedication and precision.
No matter your tool: SEM, TEM, FIB, STEM, Vitatech knows how to mitigate all the risks to your vital assets. We offer a full-spectrum of EMF engineering services, all under one roof. From feasibility and site survey, design, fabrication, and installation, Vitatech has the in-house and field expertise to manage any size project from start to finish.
Our engineers will come to you and give you all the options. To read more about what your specific needs are, click on one of the services below. Or, call us at 1.540.286.1984, we’re happy to walk you through it.
Whether it’s an existing lab, building or proposed building footprint, we collect indoor or outdoor baseline measurements for sensitive research equipment. Vitatech tests the following non-ionizing frequencies:
Vitatech will recommend EMI/RFI design criteria for building sites, laboratories, classrooms, and offices based on the most up to date commercial standards and manufacturer guidelines for electronic and scientific instruments. Additionally, Vitatech extensively reviews site and utility plans and recommends the most suitable placement and “sweet spots” for EMI sensitive laboratories.
To avoid potentially destructive EMI emissions, grounding plans are analyzed for potential ground loop and plumbing current magnetic emissions.
We present prudent lab recommendations for minimizing building steel magnetization to maximize the amount of usable research space.
And we don’t stop there…
Setback guidelines for all electrical and electromechanical distribution services are provided to contractors, tradesmen, and facilities to assist with maintaining a low EMI environment during and post construction.
We support our mitigation recommendations through commissioning testing. Guaranteed.
For laboratory fit-outs, we will review electrical, lighting, plumbing and HVAC design and provide feedback and recommendations for placement of electrical and electromechanical systems including UPS systems, large electric motors (HVAC fans, pumps, etc.), variable speed controllers and electromechanical devices within laboratories.
Vitatech is capable of testing and assessing the EMI impact from lighting and fan coil units within our facility.
