Responsible for planning, developing and implementing the organizational policies for the company. She has over 15 years of experience as a project manager and supervisor of EMF shielding projects. As a former health care professional she comments on risk assessment and coordinated the Vitatech Site Specific Safety program. She is 30 Hour OSHA Construction certified and holds General Contractor Licenses in Virginia, California, South Carolina and Rhode Island. She had held the company position of Chief Financial Officer since 2006 and Managing Director since 2009. Ms. Vitale is a Register Nurse (RN) and graduate from the University of Florida, with over twenty years of medical-surgery and CCU/ICU nursing experience.
Drew McCrady comes to Vitatech with 32 Years of experience in the scientific instrument field including SEMs, TEMs, STEMs, FIBs, Mass Spectrometers, and other tools. The last 15 years he was in-charge of environmental surveys, instrument siting, facilities documentation and installation project management at a prominent, world-class, international research imaging vendor. He has developed unique EMI magnetic field management, vibration and temperature control solutions with various partners across the industry. Mr. McCrady has performed and managed environmental surveys throughout the United States and Canada. He is an expert in EMI, vibration, acoustic, temperature and airflow measurements and remediation assessing the results and making recommendations. Beside decades of environmental remediation work, he has extensive experience working with US and international Active Compensation System (ACS) vendors to achieve optimal attenuation, imaging performance and stability. Mr. McCrady has a thorough knowledge of the building trades and working with contractors on complex research instrumentation construction projects. He has a clear understanding the expectations, concerns, fears and technical challenges encountered in the ever-changing and demanding world of high resolution imaging technology and state-of-the-art environmental control.
Engineer, manager and simulation programmer at Vitatech. He is responsible for the collection of EMI/RFI site survey data, generating graphics and designing RF and magnetic (DC, AC ELF, EMP/HEMP) shielding systems. Jan models and generates complex EMF simulations using our state-of-the-art Finite Element Modeling (FEM) ANSYS Maxwell software. He models electrical (i.e. primary feeders, transformers, network protectors, switchgears, etc.) and mechanical systems (i.e., elevators, trains and construction cranes, etc.) to evaluate the EMF/EMI impact on occupants and EMI sensitive scientific (i.e., TEMs, SEMs, FIBs, NMRs, etc.), medical (i.e., MRIs, EEGs, etc.) research instruments. He is also experienced recording and simulating RF emissions (i.e., electric field strength, SAR, etc.) with EFC-400 TC software from RF antennas and writing RF Safety Plans. He has also designed, installed and tested Active Compensation Systems (ACS) for TEMs / SEMs and MRIs in complex gradient field environments. Jans EMI/RFI engineering experience is a resource and knowledge base for our technical staff. Jan has a B.S.E.E. in electrical engineering George Mason University. Certifications include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
Stephanie Carpenter is the head of the design department as well as Project Manager for all stages of Vitatech projects. Stephanie develops and modifies full-scale professional engineering drawings, creates sketches and schematics and writes all technical documents. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a B.A. in English as well as an A.A in Drafting and Design. She is actively working toward a Master of Science in Environmental Studies through The University of Virginia and has completed 24 hours of the required 30 hours of coursework. In addition, Stephanie has also successfully completed the CAPM-PMI test to become a Certified Associate in Project Management and is pursuing Program Management Professional (PMP-PMI) certification.
Christina Vitale is the EMF Technician and Manager of Business Development for Vitatech. She conducts environmental measurements of high and low power frequency sources. Technically trained to assess all EMI/RFI conditions of current and future laboratories granted by higher education facilities within the US and Internationally and has surveyed over 40 core facilities containing either vivarium, biocontainment, imaging, nanofabrication laboratories with medical and scientific research equipment (electron microscopes) worth several million in grants. Her responsibilities as Manager of Business Development include: advertising, Tradeshows, website development and new business opportunities in North America, South America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. She graduated from Radford University with a B.A. in Spanish. Certifications include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
Responsible for the collection of EMI/RFI site survey data, generating detailed graphics from the data, presenting findings to our Engineers for assessments and recommendations and onsite project management for magnetic shielding installations. Prior to joining Vitatech, Mr. Welling was a superintendent for a technical security company. He has ran various size jobs ranging from the large, (Washington DC Metro Transit System Fire and Intrusion upgrade,) to the small (installation of CCTVíís projects.) Mr. Welling has also managed various projects in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC. In addition to his management background, Mr. Welling also has an eight-year background in technical security including certifications ranging from Licensed Security Technician with the Department of Criminal Services (DCJS), Ccure and ISTAR Certified, Basis/Lenel Certified and Level 1 Certification; National Institute Certification of Engineering Technologies (NICET) and OSHA 30 Construction. Mr. Welling has held a Top Secret Clearance. Recently he worked on the following Vitatech projects: One Bryant Park, NYC, NY; University of Notre Dame AC ELF and RF shielding project, South Bend, Indiana; AC ELF shielding project at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in Stamford, CT and an AC ELF Shielding project for British Petroleum in Chicago, IL.
Responsible for the coordination and on site supervision of shielding system installations to ensure project schedules are met, remain within budget and are installed according to specification. Recent shielding projects include the University of Buffalo, University of Arkansas, Rutgers University, Oklahoma University, and St. Josephís Hospital and MIT.Nano. Formerly, Jeremy was a facilities assistant-manager at Louis Berger in Washington, DC for twelve years before joining Vitatech. Certifications include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
Veronica comes to Vitatech after six years working in the investigative industry and 4 years as a project manager with a general contractor local to Fredericksburg, VA. She was responsible for overseeing multiple projects, to include new construction builds as well as remodels. At Vitatech, Veronica is responsible for coordination activities associated with all passive shielding projects. She is an integral part of the construction team, responsible for building client relationships and helping to ensure projects run smoothly, efficiently, per specification design and within budget. Veronica has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Alderson ñ Broaddus University located in Philippi, WV. Certifications include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
John is a Simulations Programmer/EMI Technician. He has previous experience in modeling and analysis of EM radiation from work on laser spectroscopy of photon frequency-up converting nanoparticles, as well as experience in the design of electronic control systems from the same. He has further experience with EM principles and operation/design of high-power systems from the design and construction of a pulsed-power electromagnetic railgun as part of a study on practical applications of the Lorentz force. John graduated with a B.S. in Physics and minor in Applied Mathematics from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. He hopes to continue his education by pursuing a Ph.D. in physics in solid state electronic theory with an interest in microelectronic design and manufacturing techniques. Certifications include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
Pengcheng is a Simulations Programmer/EMI Technician at Vitatech. He has previous experience in modeling and analysis of EM radiation from previous research work on laser spectroscopy of photon frequency-up converting nanoparticles, as well as experience in the design of electronic control systems from the same. He has further experience with statistical data analysis as part of his undergraduate curriculum in mathematics. He completed an independent study in mathematics on the topics of differential geometry and general relativity with the result of an honors thesis titled ìHomogeneous and Isotropic Cosmology, the Schwarzchild Solution, and Applications.î Pengcheng graduated with a double major, B.S. in Physics and Mathematics, from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. Eventually, he will continue his education by pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematical physics. Certifications include: OSHA 10 Hour Construction. Pengcheng is fluent in Mandarin and English.
Dominic Espiritu comes to Vitatech with a background in Mechanical Engineering. He has 3 years of experience working with CAD Programs such as Solidworks, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), and REVIT. He has capabilities in Machine Design for production and manufacturing, Product Development for robotics, and Data Management for Solidworks files. Dominik will graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University in May 2018 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Certifications will include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
Greg Slonka is an EMF Engineer /Analyst and Simulation Programmer at Vitatech. Greg is responsible for the collection of EMI/RFI site survey data, generating graphics from the data and presenting findings to our Engineers for assessments and EMF shielding recommendations. Greg models and generates EMF simulations using our state-of-the-art EMF software (i.e., EFC-400), then presents these simulations to our Engineers for review, assessment and shield designs. Mr. Slonka recently simulated the ELF magnetic field emissions emanating from the primary feeders, spot network protectors, transformers, secondary feeders, switchgears, risers, and busways for several high-profile projects in New York City including all towers of the World Trade Center (WTC). Greg attended Virginia Tech, Northern Virginia Community College, and currently electrical engineering student at the University of Iowa. He has earned A.A., A.S., and will graduate May 2018 with B.S.E.E.
Levi Mecham is our Senior RF Engineer and has an B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E from the University of Wyoming and is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Virginia and applying for more states. He is a former Veteran for the US Army and Air Guard in which he served and hosted many positions as a Lab Technician, Satellite and Wideband Communication Maintainer and Radar Maintainer from 1995 to 2004. In 2009 to 2011, Levi served as a Hardware Engineer and is experienced in the design, modeling and simulation of microwave, RF analog or mixed signal circuits. From 2011 to 2015, Levi became a Senior System Engineer at Jacobs Technology in which he provided technical expertise and counsel to the government Program Office (PO) to support technical planning, cost estimating and proposal evaluations for Air Force Space Surveillance System (AFSSS). He then worked with multiple vendors supplying products to the Army Soldier procurement office. For new product acquisition, he oversaw and reviewed test documentation and onsite witnessing of testing and procedures ensuring compliance with ISO and government documented standards, requirements, scopes and objective. Mr. Mecham was the Director of Engineering at Vitatech Electromagnetics during 2016 until he returned home to his familyís ranch in Wyoming for personal reasons. Certifications include: OSHA 30 Hour Construction.
