Commercial Printing Computer Room Magnetic Shield

On 19 September 2002, VitaTech Engineering was contracted by a commercial printing company to design, install, test and certify a 1320 sq. ft. AC ELF EMF dual-substrate magnetic shield. Low (0.1-9.99 mG), elevated (10-99 mG), and high (100-135 mG) 60 Hz AC ELF magnetic emissions emanated into the pre-press and server rooms from the transformers and distribution panels located on the opposite side of the shared wall. Emissions emanated from behind the shared wall into these rooms causing "screen jitter".

After Shield
The dual-substrate shield was installed on the shared walls with electical outlets and data port receptacles maintained in original locations. The installed shield complied with and exceeded the performance guarantee of 10mG.
